Discussion follows the showing.

The subject of the film is the sorry state of current national politics, where numerous large corporations making enormous profits and getting substantial bailouts from the federal government pay no federal taxes – legally. The film offers a conventional progressive analysis of this aspect of our failing economy. The video is not directly about the Transition approach to building a resilient local community, but it does show one more reason that Transition is a good idea.

This is the Wednesday evening before the Dream Cruise, or perhaps we should say, before the final Saturday of the Dream Cruise. There are already cruisers on Woodward. If you like seeing classic cars, you might want to allow some time for driving down Woodward, because there will be plenty of classic cars in the heavy traffic with you. If you are not so interested in old cars or heavy traffic, you might want to plan a route that avoids Woodward as much as possible.
