The next scheduled meeting for Transition Ferndale falls on October 16. On that exact date, the Committee to Ban Fracking in Michigan will be holding a free showing of “Gasland 2” in Royal Oak. The original, which I suppose we should now refer to as “Gasland 1,” was the subject of a Transition Ferndale meeting in July of 2011.

I suspect many people who have been at Transition Ferndale meetings in the past would also want to see “Gasland 2.” I know I want to see it, especially since Josh Fox will be at the theater and will be answering questions after the film. So for this evening, Transition Ferndale will be meeting in Royal Oak, with a lot of other people.

The film starts at 6:30. The location is the Main Art Theater at the Corner of 11 Mile and Main Street in Royal Oak. The film, as mentioned above, is free – though you will be asked to make a donation to the Committee to Ban Fracking in Michigan, the group that arranged the event.
